Thank you for the reminder! The to-do lists (without tapping into the leverage of sharing my genious) resonated with my thinking last year. I was totally fearful of the critics and the possibility of being successful in a new way---by sharing my voice globally (I am successful in other ways--locally). 2013 is a new year of thinking for me. I have to just remind myself that as long as I am helping someone with my gift, then it doesn't matter what other's think. It IS the right thing to do! I heard a quote similar to "Those that attend conferences and teleseminars and don't implement are 'Overmotivated underachievers'." That totally described me. It was time for a wake-up call--time to implement and move forward with sharing my message through writing and video and direct connections. Nice inspirational video!

I guess asking people to take ownership of their beliefs and responsibility for their life is polarizing. Who knew? I agree with your point of view. I see it as a combination of failure in the educational system coupled with laziness & apathy in the general populace. Far easier to accept a politician or religious leaders dogma than to study, inspect, analyze and draw your own conclusions followed up by purposeful action. Over the last few years I've come to prefer countries with populations around 4 million. So much more manageable and possible to have real conversations.

Morgan - I found you through Frank Kern - and I must say you are very inspiring. You have brilliantly answered the two most burning questions I have right now - How do I become more productive, and how do I not feel so stressed to get everything done? Thank you for sharing this with the world. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Morgan, Frank Kern emailed a link and I listened to your wonderful talk. The biggest challenge we face in the world is sheer overwhelm. I love a quote by Earl Nightingale: "How can I be of the greatest service doing the things I most enjoy?" I look forward to learning more from you about how to dig myself out of the digital and paper avalanche.

You make some good points. The tendency of people to expect things to remain the same despite knowing that they have always changed in the past is probably a by product of our brain's tendency to normalize. Although the environment is constantly changing, human psychology does not.
A point you have not covered is that those people who recognize and embrace change also prepare for it. At one time people saved their money, took out mortgages they could reasonably repay and paid off their house as soon as they could. To do this they delayed buying other things There was also a culture of 'put some aside for a rainy day'. This behaviour gave them a buffer against financial mishaps. Popular culture has shifted and people have been urged by advertisers etc. to buy everything now on credit and mortgage to the limit. This has left them with no buffer, and in a lot of cases, a lot of debt. Not only do they suffer financial collapse in the face of change, but they do not have the resources to capitalise on it. I would argue then, that it takes not only an attitude of embracing change when it occurs, but a long term philosophy of expecting and preparing for change.
